What if this was truly a message from the future, one year from today?
What would you tell yourself, what would you ask your future self?
Where did we go, who did we see, how have I grown?
It's too bad we don't really know, but hey thats why we live, to decide what to do, where to go, and who to meet, right...
But thinking about this I found this question...
- Why live in the future or the past when you already have a good enough gift called TODAY and this MOMENT!!??
What are you going to do today to get yourself to the place you want to be in the future. There is no point living for tomorrow when tomorrow never comes. Your life is wasted if you always say, "oh I'll just do that tomorrow", the more you say that the more you cheat yourself. Now I'm not saying go crazy and wild and do everything you want to do right now at this time, but do waht you can, help those around you, take action and don't hold off on doing good. Knowledge is power. We know we have the choice, we know what to choose. But knowledge without action is powerless. So knowing what to do and not doing it defeats the very purpose of knowing what to do. Its like being a superhero and having all this power, you can tell yourself, "I know I can save the world, but I'll choose not to." Do you ever hear of those superheroes that don't act, NO, because a hero is one who acts on his knowledge, thus making him powerful and heroic. It only makes sense, DUH!!
So reach out, step out and be that hero you are called to be. You may not save the earth but you can save a world, the world that belongs to someone else, one act, any act of love can save anyones world. you may never know who you saved, you may never recieve credit, you may not even realize you did it, but you have the ability to help or hurt. And not acting is a hurting action. So after this, think about things, what can you change, can you smile more, can you reach out more, help more, anything???
If its uncomfortable at first then you are on the right track, its not what this world thinks is right, so in doing it you will be, in a sense, swimming up stream against the current of society. If you manage to change hearts on the way you will have an army swimming at your side, and thus the current can be changed. Don't give up hope, their is no greater lie than that of despair, there is always hope, always a way out!! But it all starts with you, so right now, in this moment are you going to choose to be free or live under the chains that this world oppresses you with?
If anything, your future self needs to tell you this today....
You Are Loved, Always and Forever, and if you ever forget that just look back on this message from yourself, remind yourself daily to look to the freedom that God offers you. Now here today, this morning, this evening, this moment, make your choice, to accept the love or reject it.
Every day is a chance for a new stance, like every song is the beginning of a new dance. Simple as that. God is revealed in simplicity. All He created has one simple purpose and that is to Love and to be Loved.
